There are two schools in Belton, Waveney VC First School for children between 3 and 8 years old (Nursery to Year 3), and Breydon VC Middle School for children up to 11 years old (Years 4 - 7)

In September 2008, these schools will be reorganised to form one primary school serving pupils up to Year 6. At the same time, the local High Schools will take pupils from Year 7 to Year 11

The name of the new School will be Moorlands Church of England Primary School, Belton but most people will simply call it Moorlands

With a new name, an almost new building - it certainly feels fresh and bright, a new headteacher, Mrs Denise Jackson from London, and a smart new purple uniform it is an exciting time for all. The children are currently choosing a logo and motto for the new school.
